Description
One digital audio tape (DAT). Williams served as emcee. Picalota Strings featured Dave Fullerton (chorded zither), Joseph Johnson (guitar), Rob Blount (bass), and Bill Lapin (mandolin). Wako Kai were Japanese dancers from Pensacola (Chiyo Smith and Fay Geis). On the original index sheet, Kazuko Law wrote the name of the dancers in traditional Japanese script. Sparky and the Pole Cats featured Ira Kohn (banjo), Joe Nelson (fiddle), Dave Borland (fiddle), and Marion Lasley (guitar). Old Tiem Friends featured Don Moores (guitar0, Jim Kaufman (dobro), Jan Moores (autoharp) and Don Meyers (bass.) Caracappa was a banjoist-guitarist from Miami.

One digital audio tape(DAT). The Versiteers, a Jacksonville-based a capella gospel group, consisted of L.V. Starling, Linda Carter, and Myrtle Butler. Law and Wako Kai of Pensacola danced to pre-recorded music. Jose Silva of Pembroke Pines led the Nicaraguan dance group Toco Huaco. Tru-Blu Grass consisted of Bill Hendry (fiddle), Jane Roynl (bass), Eddie Knight (guitar), Jack Piccalo (banjo) and Ken Carey (mandolin).

Folklorist Stuemple interviews Law about the traditional games of Japan including playing with an air-filled paper ball, juggling and tossing bean bags called otedama and baseball. She also talks about hagoita, or paddles used in a game for girls played on New Years called hanetsuki and a card game (no specific name given for the card game).
