Celtic music hails from the British Isles, particularly Scotland, Ireland, and Wales. Fiddles, flutes, bagpipes, harps, and dulcimers are the genreā€™s primary instruments. Florida folk and old-time music have traces of Celtic influence in their themes and instrumentation. Celtic music itself has experienced a surge of popularity in recent years, and can be found in most parts of the state. Claire Flemming, South Moon Under, Edward Keeney, and James Kelly are Celtic musicians in the Folklife Collection.
