On October 20, 1970, the Cabinet offered a
Reward in the amount of
$5,000
for information
leading to the arrest and conviction of any person
or persons placing any explosive device in any
State building, threatening to do so, or transmit-
ting false information regarding the placement of
any explosive device in any State building.
The Florida law provides that it is illegal to
throw, place, discharge, or attempt to discharge,
or threaten to throw, to place, or discharge a de-
structive device with the intent to do bodily harm
to any person or do damage to any property.
The Florida law also provides that it is unlawful to
falsely report the placing or planting of any bomb,
dynamite or other deadly explosive with the intent
to deceive, mislead, or otherwise misinform any
person regarding such bomb.
Anyone convicted of a violation of one of the
above laws could be sentenced for a period of
ten years, to life imprisonment, or the death pen-
alty.
Under the United States Code, additional Fed-
eral penalties could be imposed for the same acts.
