Dear Dad,-

[Haven't] much to say about ourselves other than that we are both well so I'll just ramble along on something else.

We've enough laid by to meet the first part of that last backset but do not wish to send it owing to the uncertainty of it reaching you. I think it better to bring [?] back ourselves unless

the time it would [probably] take would make it too late. Write us the details unless you have already done so. I hope you are getting along nicely now but [haven't] heard from you for so long that I am a bit worried. Are you getting our allotments? With what you can make and with them you ought to be able to make out fairly well.

Are there many tourists do[?]n

there this year? And how are you making out at Delson's[?]

I think I wrote you that you could get rid of any of the things that we left. You see we may never have use for them again. I am [figuring] on going to school in Boston after I get loose from here. All I care about keeping is the Luger. You may let the canoe go if you can also the shotguns and the boat motor, pool table and [everything] else tho[sic] I fear the last

two articles are what might be [termed] White Elephants[.]
