Description

Letter from a citizen of Tampa representing a "taxpayers' committee" to Governor Doyle Carlton protesting the use of African American labor on U.S. Highway 17 between Tampa and Plant City. The writer says these workers pay no taxes and have no family to support, while white men in the area are out of work. The writer says if the governor does not act that the so-called "taxpayers' committee" will remove the workers themselves.
