Description

A letter from Jeanette Blevins, program chairwoman of "Florida Parades for the ERA," to Florida Governor Reubin Askew inviting him to walk in the parade as a supporter of the Equal Rights Amendment and then give a speech to attendees on the steps of the Capitol (now the Old Capitol) in Tallahassee. Governor Askew responds that he will give a speech on the Capitol steps but will not be able to participate in the parade due to prior commitments.
