Engine 153 is a 1922 Pacific-type passenger locomotive. It was formerly of the F.E.C. but retired in 1938. As property of U.S. Sugar, it was donated to the Gold Coast Railroad in 1957.
Engine 113, built in 1913. Formerly of the F.E.C. and U.S. Sugar Corp. who donated it in August 1968.
Gold Coast Railroad, Inc. was originally created under the umbrella of the University of Miami as the Miami Railroad Historical Society (MRHS). After the MRHS moved from Miami to Ft. Lauderdale in 1966 (due to C.I.A. need for campus space during the Cuban Missile Crisis) the name of the organization was changed to Gold Coast Railroad, Inc. on January 4, 1967. It later became the Gold Coast Railroad Museum on April 22, 1998.
