Jewish
Sacred Hebrew hymns and instrumental Klezmer dance melodies are cornerstones of traditional Jewish folk music. Hebrew sacred music relies mainly on the voice, while Klezmer dance music uses the accordion, double-bass, and clarinet. These musical styles are prevalent in Florida, which is home to about 10% of the United States’ Jewish population. Jaime Bronsztein, Jay Marder, Sol Brenner, and Joel Fox are performers from this genre in our collection.
