FRIEND OF THE STATE FAIR:-
By this time you have received the Florida State Fair's premium list. We are proud of our catalogue this year because it carries a larger list of cash premiums.
You will note that we set our dates so as to include the Farmer's National Congress, to be held in connection with the Fair, which will have an attendance of Five Thousand delegates representing every State in the Union and Canada. We want these delegates to see the wonderful products of Florida to be displayed at the Fair.
All the efforts of the Fair this year are centered on the winning of the war and it is your patrotic duty to support it. The Federal Government is sending the largest exhibit in the history of fairs and, by special exploitation service, is giving Florida a nation-wide publicity. You can render your State no greater service than by doing your utmost to have a great showing of livestock and agricultural products of Florida at the Fair, so these delegates may carry a most favorable report back to their respective sections.
Last year visitors were disappointed because the most prominent displays of cattle came from other states, but we are advertising Florida as a live stock state and it is up to you to help us prove our claim. Induce every farmer and live stock breeder in your territory to send a representative exhibit of live stock and agriculture to this Exposition and you set a good example by making a large exhibit yourself. In this way, we will prove that Florida produces as fine cattle and food products as any State in the Union. Make early reservations for stalls and pens as space is limited.
Assuring you of our earnest desire to cooperate with you in every way, we remain,
Cordially yours,
