Dear Mother and Dad.-

Just a brief note telling you that [everything] is as usual with us. Both well etc. and going about our duties without any fears and it strikes me that if we can see nothing to be afraid of why you all should [have no]

great cause to worry. The danger is no more here than in any other industry back home so just put those petty fears aside and look on the bright side always.

Am very glad you both are well and able to subsist. Things ought to get better still from now on if Dad can find [plenty] to do and keeps able.

Am glad Sis. is going down in the fall and will do what we can to make things pleasant there.

Had a letter from Aunt Rose and grand pa. Glad he is holding out. May be able to see him if this thing [doesn't] last forever and [it's] bound to end sometime.

Have you a service flag flying over your tent? That would be nice if [?]

get one with two stars. I'd send you one but things are so hard to send from here. Have you got o[ur] l[as]t remittance? I sort of relayed [i]t so to avoid risk[.]

Give our love to the rest of the folks when you write and write us often giving all the news you can. With best wishes we
