Anniversary Souvenir Greeting From Koresh To His Disciples October 18, 1897. A. K. 59.
"These are they which came out of Great Tribulation, and have washed their Robes and made them white in the Blood of the Lamb." To my Disciples whose purposes are honest and whose hearts are sincere, I submit this token of my assurance of a devotion faithful unto the culminating sacrifice. The office of every High Priest is sacrificial. It was through the destruction of animal life in the typical Jerusalem, that the purpose of Jehovah was symbolized to the race. The High Priest of the Levitical Order
immolated the tributes of the people to sacrificial uses, but to the Priest was committed the painful obligation of the destruction of the animals thus victimized. The Levitical Priesthood was the conjunctional order. The office of the High Priest of this age is to effect a conjunctional unity between God and man--he being the Mediator of this special service. The people contributed the offering; the High Priest was the instrument of its devotion. May my people bring to their Well-spring of the pure River of the Water of Life, clear as crystal, their deepest heart-treasures, committing them to his hand whose right it is to justify and glorify.
May they prove faithful through this coming year, and in the amplification of our cause find more to encourage, and greater progress in the growth of grace, and may it be theirs to behold in the development of Koreshanity, more marked advancement than in any other year of its experience. That my Disciples everywhere may be stimulated to the performance of good works and brotherly love, is the sincere desire of their devoted Cyrus, Shepherd and Stone of Israel.
