Florida Governor Bob Graham on his first full day as Florida's Governor walked to work. Graham paused during a brisk walk, with temperatures in the 20's, and talks with a City of Tallahassee garbage collector two blocks from the capitol. Graham worked one of his famous "work days" as a garbage collector, chatted with the collector and sympathized with his job duties on such a cold morning.

Florida Governor Bob Graham continuing his work day practice begun as a candidate. Saturday morning at 7:30 the governor began his day alongside Willie Lee Rasberry, left, and Samuel DeLoach on the right sodding grass for the Hammet Company Incorporated, a contractor that is widening Thomasville road in Tallahassee. The governor and his fellow workers spent the day working in a steady light rain. This is Graham's 105th 'work day', his first since becoming governor. Photographed on January 27, 1979.

Governor Graham, left, is shown during one of his "workdays" with Burt Reynolds. "Stick" was directed by and starred FSU-graduate Burt Reynolds, along with Candice Burgen and George Segal and was based upon a novel by sometime resident, Elmore Leonard. Released by Universal Studios, it was partly filmed in Miami and Fort Lauderdale. On a movie set a grip is someone who sets up and adjusts the equipment, such as lighting, cameras, and set structures. Photographed on November 22, 1983.
